On 22 June 2026, the 3rd Transnational Webinar of the European Green Circle project, was successfully held under the title “Microcredentials Quality Assurance Model”.
The webinar focused on the role of microcredentials in developing green skills in the construction sector, as well as their contribution to lifelong learning, skills recognition and the creation of more flexible learning pathways.
The event opened with an introductory presentation by Mrs. Ana Dias from TecMinho, who presented the project and its related activities for the development, testing and assessment of microcredentials for green skills in construction.
A central part of the discussion was the presentation by Mr. George Bekiaridis from Active Citizens Partnership (ACP), lead partner of WP4, who presented the methodology of the Microcredentials Quality Assurance Model that he designed within the framework of the project. His presentation highlighted the importance of trusted, transparent and widely recognised microcredentials, as well as key aspects related to quality assurance, technical requirements, interoperability, and the way microcredentials are organised and managed.
The contribution of Mrs. Anastasia Pouliou from Cedefop was also valuable, as she presented European developments and research findings on microcredentials, with a focus on vocational education and training, labour market needs and recognition mechanisms.
The webinar was facilitated by Mrs. Angela Karadog from PONTYDYSGU, contributing to the smooth coordination of the session and the active exchange of views among speakers and participants.
Overall, the webinar contributed to the dialogue on the use of microcredentials as a tool for strengthening green skills and supporting more flexible, labour-market-relevant learning systems in the construction sector.
