The EU Renovation Wave is one of Europe’s key initiatives to improve the energy performance of buildings, address energy poverty, upgrade public buildings and accelerate the shift towards more sustainable heating and cooling solutions.
To turn this transition into reality, the construction sector needs a skilled workforce equipped with new green and digital competences, as well as modern education and training tools that respond to the sector’s evolving needs.
In this context, the European Construction Blueprint 2 project, in which PEDMEDE participates, supports the preparation of construction workers and companies for the green and digital transition. The project focuses on anticipating emerging skills needs, updating training programmes and strengthening the link between education and the real demands of the labour market.
The Renovation Wave is not only about improving the energy performance of buildings. It is also an opportunity to shape a more sustainable, digital and resilient construction sector, supported by a workforce ready to meet the challenges of the future.
