On June 2 and 3, 2025, PEDMEDE participated in the kick-off meeting of the European Excel4Housing Erasmus+ project, which took place in Brussels.
Within the framework of the Excel4Housing4.0 project, a network of at least five Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) will be developed, each consisting of at least one vocational training provider and one representative from the business world. These Centers will operate at national and/or regional level, forming a stable framework for cooperation and dialogue between businesses and education. The project is coordinated by the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB).
During the two-day meeting, the project partners had the opportunity to discuss the overall design of the project, define the next steps, and plan upcoming joint actions.
The centers in close contact and cooperation:
- vocational education and training providers,
- academic and research institutions,
- innovation hubs and industrial clusters,
- as well as public authorities dealing with energy efficiency and sustainable development at national and regional level.
The project consists of 24 partners from 11 different countries.
PEDMEDE’s participation in the project strengthens its contribution to the professional development of the construction’s sector workforce, in line with changing market needs.
