The European Construction Blueprint 2 project, in which PEDMEDE participates, has published a new report identifying the skills that require urgent reinforcement across the European construction sector.
The study was conducted accross 10 European countries and focused on 10 key occupations selected from 54 professional profiles within the sector. The analysis highlighted urgent skills needs in three main areas: green, digital and transversal skills. These include energy efficiency, the use of sustainable materials, Building Information Modelling (BIM), work coordination and problem-solving.
The findings confirm the need for more flexible, up-to-date and work-based continuing vocational education and training programmes that respond directly to the actual needs of construction companies and professionals.
