PEDMEDE participated in the Annual Convention of the European Demolition Association – EDA, held on 10–12 June 2026 in Dublin, Ireland, a key meeting point for the international demolition, decontamination and recycling sector.
PEDMEDE was represented by Mr. Xenophon Karkantzos, while PEDMEDE ECO was represented by Mr. Grigorios Kampouris. Their participation contributed to an important exchange on critical technical and institutional topics for the construction sector, including circular economy applications, dismantling and demolition waste management, digital technologies, new regulatory developments, and health and safety on construction sites.
A particularly important moment was the official announcement that PEDMEDE and PEDMEDE ECO will host the next EDA Annual Convention in Athens on 10–12 June 2027. During the event, the Greek candidacy was presented, while the President of PEDMEDE, Mr. Konstantinos Gkoliopoulos, addressed the delegates through a special video message, warmly inviting them to join next year’s event in Athens.
PEDMEDE continues to strengthen the international presence of the Greek construction sector, promoting sustainability, innovation and the implementation of circular practices at European level.
