The circular economy remains high on the European agenda, as the European Union prepares the new Circular Economy Act, which is expected to further support the transition towards a more efficient, sustainable and competitive production model.
In this context, the European Circular Transition project, in which PEDMEDE participates, focuses on supporting SMEs and micro-enterprises in the construction sector as they gradually adapt to the new European priorities and directions related to the circular economy.
The project aims to highlight the importance of circular economy principles for the construction sector and to contribute to raising awareness, improving access to knowledge, and strengthening business readiness in view of the environmental and regulatory developments taking shape at European level. Particular emphasis is placed on practical guidance, so that the transition towards more circular practices can be approached in a gradual and realistic way.
The connection between the project and European circular economy priorities highlights key directions for the sector:
♻️ Familiarising the sector with circular economy principles
🏗️ Supporting SMEs and micro-enterprises in the green transition
🌍 Informing the Greek construction sector about European developments
🔄 Promoting more sustainable and resource-efficient practices
Through its participation in Circular Transition, PEDMEDE contributes to positioning the circular economy as a key pathway towards a more sustainable and resilient construction sector.
📌 Stay tuned for the project’s upcoming activities and developments!
