The European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) Conference was held with great success on May 16, 2025, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, organized by PEDMEDE.
The main theme of the event was the resilience of water resources and the role of the construction sector in addressing the water crisis, highlighting the strategic importance of sustainable infrastructure in Europe.
The President of PEDMEDE and Vice-President of FIEC, Mr. Konstantinos Goliopoulos, in his opening speech, emphasized the strategic importance of establishing a stable institutional and financial framework for the construction sector. He also stressed the need for the State to trust PEDMEDE as an institutional partner with an active role in designing policies that ensure sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
At the same time, honorary guests honored the event with their presence, including the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Dimas, and the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson, Mr. Pavlos Marinakis, who recognized the critical role of the sector in strengthening the competitiveness and resilience of the Greek economy.
