In view of the EU debate on subcontracting and the imposition of limits at European level, FIEC has publised its official position, opposing uniform European restrictions and favoring national solutions tailored to the needs of each market. The imposition of limits on subcontracting at a European level suggests a lack of understanding of how the sector operates, which is one of the most important sectors of the European economy, with subcontracting being an integral and essential part of it, enhancing flexibility and competitiveness.
Through its participation in FIEC, PEDMEDE contributes to the dialogue on issues affecting the construction sector in Greece, formulating positions and aligning its actions with the guidelines and principles of FIEC, with the aim of strengthening competitiveness, quality, and sustainable development of public works.
