The ET4Digital project is making great strides in its WP3, with the development of a Digital Twin demonstrator for the construction sector!
In a pilot phase, the University of Bologna, in collaboration with IIPLE used a real construction site built by students from the IeFP programs at IIPLE Bologna.
By experimenting with photogrammetry, BIM modeling, and the OpenProjectBIM platform, trainers and project partners were given an early demonstration of the potential of digital tools in construction education.
The demonstrator will combine BIM and IoT to create a data-rich digital twin, supporting monitoring, planning, and learning.
The next step is to make it available as a practical training tool for teachers and students, fostering the digital transition in the construction industry.
