On October 8–9, PEDMEDE successfully hosted the 2nd partners’ meeting of the European project Construction Blueprint 2 in Athens.
Building on the success of the first flagship project for the construction sector, Construction Blueprint 2 is a key European initiative that aims to address the skills needs of the industry. The project consortium is composed of 20 organizations representing 10 European countries, strengthening collaboration and the exchange of know-how across Europe.
The two-day meeting in Athens provided a unique opportunity for partners to discuss the progress of the project’s work packages and upcoming actions through creative, game-based workshops. These workshops encouraged participants to explore the main priorities and skills needs of the construction sector in an engaging and collaborative way.
During the meeting, participants worked on the following key topics:
-
Implementation of the Pact for Skills.
-
Strategic cooperation on sectoral skills, which is essential for addressing the challenges of digitalization and the sustainable transition.
-
Improving the employability of women and young people, who are key groups for ensuring diversity in the construction industry.
Through PEDMEDE’s participation in this project and its ongoing collaboration with our European partners, we reaffirm our commitment to a more resilient and innovative construction sector, ready to meet current and future challenges.
A big thank you to all our partners for honoring us with their presence!
