The Skills Observatory for the construction sector, developed within the framework of the Construction Blueprint 2 project, is an important tool for monitoring and analysing skills needs in the European construction industry.
The main objectives of the Observatory are:
-
to serve as a channel for transnational knowledge exchange on skills in the construction sector
-
to provide up-to-date information on current and future skills needs in construction
-
to support construction companies, industry professionals and Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers in adapting and upgrading training programmes
At the same time, the Construction Skills Observatory aims to serve as a complement of the data and information provided on construction ecosystem by the European Construction Sector Observatory (ESCO), strengthening the understanding of developments, trends and needs within the construction ecosystem at the European level.
By collecting and analysing data from many European Union countries, users can gain a more comprehensive picture of both current and future skills needs in the construction sector.
