On 1 October 2026, the Final Transnational Project Meeting and the Final Conference of the European ET4Digital project took place at the Lakeside Science und Technologie Park in Klagenfurt, Austria, with the participation of PEDMEDE. The two events marked the closing phase of an important period of cooperation aimed at strengthening digital skills and supporting the digital transformation of the construction sector.
During the Final TPM, partners focused on the final activities required for the completion of the project, with particular emphasis on pilot testing and validation of the project results, as well as on the overall assessment of the progress achieved. At the same time, the partners reviewed the progress of the dissemination and exploitation activities and the achievement of the project’s key objectives as ET4Digital enters its final implementation phase.
Later that day, the ET4Digital Final Conference brought together project partners and representatives from the wider vocational education and training and construction ecosystem. The conference provided an opportunity to present the overall progress and key results of the project, while also opening a broader discussion on the digital and technological developments that are shaping the construction sector.
Among the main topics presented and discussed were the digital and technological evolution of the construction sector, the development and evolution of the ET4Digital Demonstrator, and the growth of digital skills among trainers and VET providers, with the aim of enabling them to better support SMEs in their digital transition.
This approach is closely aligned with the core objective of ET4Digital, which seeks to bridge the gap between technological progress and the ability of companies to integrate digital solutions into their day-to-day operations. Technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality and Digital Twins have been central to the project, as part of a broader effort to strengthen innovation, competitiveness and sustainability in the construction sector.
As the project approaches its completion, the Final Conference offered not only an opportunity to reflect on its progress and achievements, but also to highlight the importance of collaboration among the partners and the continued use of the tools, methodologies and knowledge developed within ET4Digital.
Special thanks are extended to the organisers for their warm hospitality in Klagenfurt and for the excellent support provided throughout the Final Transnational Project Meeting and the Final Conference, as well as to all partners and participants for their valuable contribution to the successful completion of ET4Digital.
