At the EDA Annual Convention 2025, which took place on June 12–14 in Venice, the launch of the new Guide on Urban Regeneration and Demolition Footprint was announced. This guide offers an essential perspective on the relationship between demolition, urban regeneration, and sustainability.
Given that increasing demographic pressure, climate urgency, and social transformation demand an immediate response from society, the EDA Working Group on Urban Regeneration was created to exchange knowledge and develop this publication, with the active participation of PEDMEDE.
🔹Published by EDA in June 2025, this guide aims to provide a detailed analysis of the relationship between urban regeneration and the demolition footprint, demonstrating that demolition is much more than simply the removal of structures.
