The participation of PEDMEDE and PEDMEDE ECO in OIKODOMI 2026 – Greece Build Expo, held from 23 to 25 October at Metropolitan Expo, has successfully concluded.
Throughout the exhibition, the PEDMEDE ECO booth welcomed visitors and construction industry professionals, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the importance of proper construction and demolition waste (CDW) management and recycling.
At the same time, PEDMEDE hosted #ErasmusDays2026, promoting European cooperation in education and training. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the European projects Green Circle, ET4Digital, Drone4Build, Circular Transition, GAMESONBOARD, Construction Blueprint 2 and EXCEL4HOUSING4.0, which support skills development, innovation and sustainability in the construction sector.
As part of the exhibition, a workshop was also held, focusing on sustainable construction and construction and demolition waste management, as well as the role of innovation, new skills and European projects in supporting the sector’s green and digital transition.
Dr Violetta Kytinou, Assistant Professor at the Democritus University of Thrace, presented insights from the European project Green Circle, highlighting the role of micro-credentials in developing professional skills and connecting technical education with sustainable resource management and CDW recycling.
