The 3rd Transnational Partners’ Meeting of the European Construction Blueprint 2 project took place in Brussels on 23–24 April 2026, bringing together partners to review progress, coordinate next steps, and further strengthen actions aimed at upskilling the construction workforce.
During the meeting, the European Commission provided strategic guidance on the project’s overall direction, while the launch of the new European Construction Observatory was presented by Roman Horváth (DG GROW). In parallel, the “Women & Youth” session, led by Pirkko Pyörälä (DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion), focused on inclusion, youth employment, and the challenges shaping the future of work in the sector.
PEDMEDE actively contributed as leader of WP3: “Towards a strategic approach to sectoral cooperation on skills”, which focuses on analysing and leveraging data to better understand and anticipate the sector’s skills needs.
The meeting concluded with a positive assessment of progress and reinforced cooperation among partners, confirming commitment to the next stages of implementation.
Special thanks are extended to the project coordinator Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, as well as to FIEC, European Builders Confederation EBC, and European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) for hosting and excellent organisation.
