On 15-16 January 2025, the 2nd meeting of the European Project BIM4D “Developing green and digital skills for the use of BIM at end-of-life practices”, which is coordinated by PEDMEDE, took place at its premises in Athens.
During the meeting, project partners had the opportunity to discuss the next steps of the project, the results of the research regarding the skills needed for using BIM at the end of a building’s life cycle, as well as the training content of the BIM4D curriculum, that will be developed at a later stage.
The main aims of the project are: to increase knowledge and understanding of the current status in regards with the use of BIM in EOL, to enhance the engagement of construction/deconstruction workers and education professionals on the BIM use at deconstruction processe and to provide a transnational overview of the BIM use in deconstruction as well as to provide the basis for the development of the innovative BIM4D training.
The consortium comprises of vocational and educational training institutions and professional associations with extensive experience in the construction sector. The partners hail from Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Germany, and Belgium.
