The construction industry is evolving fast—driven by climate action, tech innovation, and shifting workforce needs. But how do we prepare workers for this green transformation? That’s the question at the heart of Green Circle’s Baseline, ecosystem and methodology report for green skill MCs in construction, a new report from the Green Circle project, in which PEDMEDE participates.
Over its first year, the project assessed the current state of micro-credentials in Europe, engaged key stakeholders—from employers to policymakers—and designed a flexible roadmap for developing industry-aligned, portable, and inclusive training programs. These short, targeted courses aim to bridge the skills gap, accelerate the sector’s green transition, and open new opportunities for diverse groups in the workforce.
While still in its early phase, the work sets a strong foundation for piloting micro-credential courses in partner countries—bringing the vision of a skilled, future-ready construction workforce closer to reality.
