Its\u00a0<strong>members<\/strong>\u00a0are individuals, contractors of public works as well as technical companies from grade A1 up to grade 7 (the upper grade), classification made by the Greek Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.<\/p>\n<p>The Association\u2019s premises are located in Athens. Additionally, PEDMEDE comprises of 15 regional departments, covering all Greek regions and a separate section of Construction Companies.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0<strong>core of its scope<\/strong>, PEDMEDE aims to ensure and promote its members\u2019 interests and welfare in a national and regional level. Within this direction, PEDMEDE is in close cooperation with public authorities, government representatives and key stakeholders representing the Construction sector, forming polices and initiatives and having a leading role in social dialogue. Last but not least PEDMEDE has a crucial role in shaping the national legislative framework concerning the construction sector along with National Public Authorities.<\/p>\n<p>PEDMEDE is the\u00a0<strong>sole<\/strong>\u00a0Greek Construction Association representing the country in a European level. In particular, PEDMEDE is a statutory member of\u00a0<strong>FIEC<\/strong>\u00a0(European Construction Industry Federation) member of\u00a0<strong>EIC<\/strong>\u00a0(European International Contractors), and member of\u00a0<strong>EDA<\/strong>\u00a0(\u0395uropean Demolition Association).holding seats in Steering Committees of all entities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PEDMEDE\u2019s current President, Mr. Konstantinos Gkoliopoulos, holds the position of FIEC\u2019s Vice \u2013 President<\/strong>\u00a0from 2024 to 2026, being for this mandate also President of ECF (European Construction Forum), later \u00a0renamed Construction 2050,\u00a0 as of the European initiative \u201cConstruction 2050 \u2013 Building tomorrow\u2019s Europe today\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Additional key statutory scopes and activities of PEDMEDE are facilitating the transfer of knowledge, experience, know-how, expertise and good practices on its areas of its specialization and providing training activities to employees and workers in the Construction sector and the industry, in the key areas of BIM (Building Information Modelling), Digitalization, Circular Economy, Energy Efficiency along with ensuring the effective adoption of the European policies and initiatives in a National level, namely concerning priorities related to sustainable development,\u00a0 the EU Green Deal, Renovation Wave and so on.
