In February 9, 2022 PEDMEDE, along with the support of European Demolition Asssociation (EDA), and PEDMEDE ECO, succesfully organized a webinar entitled “Meeting CDW challenges in Greece”. The main objective of the webinar was to raise awareness of key stkaholders on the transition of a circular economy through the effective management of Construction and Demolition Wastes (CDW), as well as to introduce relevent challanges faced in Greece. Within this ground, core topic of the info-day’s agenda was to demonstarte to participants the CDWaste-ManageVET Erasmus+ training program provided through a digital training platform, and invite them to attend the training program in order to be upskilled and reskilled in managing CDW. Therefore, further engagement with the project outputs and raised awarenes on the topic was achieved, reaching a growing number of participants and audience, more than 200 attendees, from national and international level, including: construction cmpainies and workers, representatives form public authorities, policy and desicion makers, VET representatives, construction sector associations and and so on.
In this framework, participants from all over Europe had the chance to meet and explore the structure and the content of the CDWaste-ManageVET training material that has been developed through project activities, highlithing its contibution in meeting the skills gap of the construction sector in facing CDW challenges and managing CDW effectively.
