On 23 and 24 March, the inaugural meeting of the European BuildOffsiteEU project took place in Bologna. During the first day, the technical basis for the implementation of the project was laid, while the second day was devoted to the steps to be followed for research on industrialised production systems.
The aim of the BuildOffsiteEU project is to develop different tools to fill the competence gaps of traditional professions in order to adapt to a sector related to sustainability: the construction industry. BuildOffsiteEU will result in retraining the workforce for the transition to industrialised construction (off-site) by designing a training pathway to bridge the gap between old and new skills and competences and by defining a training pathway to enhance the supply of VET to achieve environmental sustainability goals in the EU.
The project partners come from Spain (FLC), Italy (IIPLE), Greece (PEDMEDE), Slovenia (CCIS), and North Macedonia (K&S).
