The Final Conference of the RenovUP project took place on 14 & 15 June in Nantes with the participation of PEDMEDE.
On the first day of the meeting the partners had the opportunity to make a comprehensive review and assessment of the project results both in the participating countries (France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Italy, Poland) and at European level.
In particular, through RenovUP, tailor-made training programmes for Project Managers and Site Managers were created on the management of renovation projects, based on the observation and study of the training needs of the participants as reflected on site.
The project partners then had the opportunity to visit the premises of the BTP training centre and to analyse the key points of the vocational training system in France.
On the second day of the meeting, a round table discussion on the training of future Project Leaders and Site Managers was held, giving both project partners and trainers and company representatives the opportunity to exchange views and to present their experiences as well as possible future ways of cooperation to extend the results of the project.
Finally, the final dissemination event of the project results was held during which the interface between Project Leaders and Site Managers in the RenovUp partner countries was discussed, the needs from the companies’ side regarding the specific job profiles in France (nationally and per region) were assessed, as well as why their training is important for companies undertaking renovation projects were analysed.
The implementation of the Renovation Wave is a key priority for the European Union’s path towards the reduction of its energy footprint and PEDMEDE through the RenovUP programme actively contributed to the Greek Construction Sector to move in this direction.
